St. Martin's Food Bank, and Harvest Collections

1 John 3:17-18 But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

At St. Martin's CE VA Primary School, two of our key values are RESPONSIBILITY and COMPASSION. We therefore feel that it is right to support those who find themselves in need, so we collect on behalf of The People's Pantry. We have a collection box near the school gate for food items, which will be donated to the collection point at Sainsbury's in Pocklington and then to The People's Pantry for distribution throughout our local area. Please support us in this endeavour if you feel able.

We are currently collecting (but not exclusively):

sponge puddings, sugar, biscuits, fruit juice from concentrate, instant mashed potato, pasta sauce, tinned rice puddings, rice, breakfast cereals, tinned fish, tinned fruit, and instant coffee.

Donations made as part of our Harvest Festival services will also go The People's Pantry.
