St. Martin's Food Bank, and Harvest Collections

1 John 3:17-18 But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

At St. Martin's CE VA Primary School, two of our key values are RESPONSIBILITY and COMPASSION. We therefore feel that it is right to support those who find themselves in need, so we collect on behalf of the Trussell Trust. We have a collection box in school for food items, which will be donated to the food bank in Acomb for distribution throughout York and its surrounding areas. Please support us in this endeavour if you feel able.

We are currently collecting (but not exclusively):

sponge puddings, sugar, biscuits, fruit juice from concentrate, milk, instant mashed potato, pasta sauce, tinned rice puddings, rice, breakfast cereals, tinned fish, tinned fruit, and instant coffee. sponge puddings, sugar, biscuits, fruit juice from concentrate, milk, instant mashed potato, pasta sauce, tinned rice puddings, rice, breakfast cereals, tinned fish, tinned fruit, and instant coffee.
