BIG Activities - A Chance to Explore the Christian Faith

Big Easter 2016. This year we explored the themes of Hope, Sacrifice, Resurrection and Real Hope. We decorated paper eggs and wrote down our hopes for the future. We wrote "Thank You" notes to God for all that he has given us. We made our own Palm Leaves to remind us of the joy when Jesus entered the city on a donkey, and we sent a semaphore message to the world that "The Lord is Here", just like the statues in York Minster! Can you spot Revd. Jan doing a spot of hand printing?

Big Easter 2015. This year the pupils celebrated Easter with a variety of activities at St. Martin's Church with our new school vicar - Revd. Jan. Pupils welcomed Jesus with palm leaves, found new life in Easter eggs, and were reminded about Jesus' love with a "Last Supper", and a hot cross bun! Have a look at our photos and see if you can spot St. Martin.
Big Easter 2014. Pupils spent the afternoon following in the footsteps of Jesus as he made his way to the cross, and as he was resurrected. They thought about issues such as thankfulness, forgiveness, and new beginnings. Watch our slideshow to get a taste of the event.
